Dr. Shona Bettany, Professor of Marketing and Head of Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality and Analytics, Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield.

Dr. Shona Bettany is Professor of Marketing and Head of Department of Logistics, Marketing, Hospitality and Analytics at Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield.  She is a consumer ethnographer, focusing on consumer culture in all its guises but more specifically on material-semiotic approaches to consumer research.  These approaches have illuminated such topics as gender and sexuality, contemporary family consumption and animal-human relations.  She can be found at [email protected].

She is published in Marketing Theory; Sociology; Marketing Letters; European Journal of Marketing; Journal of Business Research; Consumption, Markets and Culture; Journal of Marketing Management; and Advances in Consumer Research.

Dr. Tonya Williams Bradford, Associate Professor and Inclusive Excellence Term Chair at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California at Irvine

Dr. Tonya Williams Bradford is Associate Professor and Inclusive Excellence Term Chair at the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California at Irvine. She researches rituals, communities, and identity across phenomena including gifting (e.g., registry, organ, charitable), relationships with money, communities (e.g., tailgating and support), acculturation, and brand loyalty. Her research is published in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Retailing, the Journal of Business Research, the Journal of Interactive Marketing, and Research in Consumer Behavior.

Jazmin Henry, doctoral student at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine

Jazmin Henry is a Marketing doctoral student at the Paul Merage School of Business, University of California, Irvine (UCI). Her research interests are race, identity, and culture in the marketplace. She holds a B.S. in Business Management from Fayetteville State University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Jazmin has presented at academic conferences including Academy of Marketing Science, Association of Consumer Research, and the Annual Ronald E. McNair Symposium and Celebration. She is a member of The PhD Project and The Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program.

Dr. David Rowe, Associate Lecturer in Marketing, University of York

Dr. David Rowe is an Associate Lecturer in Marketing at University of York.  He has recently completed his Ph.D. at University of Leeds. The project was in collaboration with the History of Advertising Trust and investigated 20th Century Marketing of Sexual Health.  His research typically takes qualitative and/or historical approaches to advertising and marketing techniques relating to public health, specifically sexual health communications, and consumer research relating to political and socio-economic change.  David can be contacted at [email protected] His papers have been published in Sociology; Marketing Theory; and Advances in Consumer Research.
