Transformative Research, Societal Impact and Funding:
An Immersive, Interactive Workshop

This workshop will take place prior to the official opening of the 2023 Transformative Consumer Research Conference (TCR). It will be devoted to participant reflections on their own journey to date and will envision the specific loop between research, social impact and funding. In other words, the workshop will be about the path forward for each of the participants. Through individual reflections, group discussion and presentations, this workshop will provide a space to dream of your path forward. Some questions that participants will consider:
How can my research have greater societal impact?
How can societal issues enrich my research?
How can I initiate and sustain the virtuous loop between research and societal impact?
What is the role of funding as a catalyst for realizing societal impact?
TCR funding – what is it and how do I use it to generate more funding from other sources?
How do I integrate funding into my overall research program to enhance my publications portfolio and profile?
